Wyntra ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our mobile application and related services.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• Account information (name, profile photo, bio, interests, languages)
• Location data (when you grant permission, to show nearby places and travelers)
• Photos and content you share in posts, comments, and your profile
• Messages and communications between users
• Travel preferences and itinerary information

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalize our travel discovery and social features
• To show you relevant places, travelers, and content near your location
• To enable connections and messaging between travelers
• To generate AI-powered travel recommendations and itineraries
• To improve our services and develop new features
• To send you notifications about connections, messages, and activity (with your consent)

Location Data

Wyntra requests access to your device's location to show nearby places, events, and fellow travelers. Location access is requested only while you are using the app ("foreground" access). You can revoke location permission at any time in your device Settings. Without location permission, you can still use the app with a manually selected city.

Photos and Camera

Wyntra requests access to your photo library and camera to let you set a profile picture and attach images to your posts. We do not access your photo library without your explicit action to select a photo.

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with:

• Other users, as part of the app's social features (your public profile, posts, and location city)
• Service providers who help us operate the app (cloud hosting, analytics, AI processing)
• Law enforcement or authorities when required by law

User-Generated Content

Content you post publicly (Pulse posts, comments, profile information) is visible to other Wyntra users. You can report objectionable content using the flag/report button on any post, profile, or comment. We review reports and take appropriate action, including removing content that violates our Community Guidelines.

Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly within the app: go to Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent — your profile, posts, conversations, and preferences are removed from our servers. This action cannot be undone.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. When you delete your account, all personal data is removed from our servers within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Wyntra is not directed to children under 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@wyntra.app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email.
